The Department of Medical Analysis aims to attract students who are passionate about their field and eager to excel in their professions. These students will be prepared to pursue careers across various medical and healthcare specialties, ultimately benefiting the community. By filling the gaps in the demand for accurate medical diagnosis and investigation, this department not only enhances individual patient care but also contributes to the overall health of the community.

Objectives

he Medical Analysis Department was established in 2018. The department places a strong emphasis on all laboratory procedures and methods. It attempts to guarantee achieving safe, efficient, and accurate test findings by connecting health sciences with appropriate methodologies and procedures. The Medical Analysis Department at the Applied Science Faculty of Tishk International University has been awarded a prestigious Accreditation Certificate by ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics) from Germany. This global leader in quality assurance in higher education has recognized our department for a total of 5 years, a testament to the excellence of our programs and commitment to academic quality.

Why Medical Analysis Department?

The medical analysis department plays a crucial role in the healthcare system, acting as the backbone of diagnostic services. In this department, students are taught to become dedicated professionals that will work tirelessly to analyze samples and provide vital information that can guide treatment decisions. Attention to detail is a hallmark of their process, as every result holds significant information about a patient’s health. They will learn how to confront the challenges of technology and science, striving to uphold the highest standards of accuracy. Our aim is to make our students advance in the field of medicine and nurture an environment of compassion and hope for the patients they serve.

Program Learning Outcomes

By the end of this program, students will be able to:

1. Assess and interpret clinical laboratory data, linking results to various disease conditions effectively.

2. Utilize the principles of evidence-based medicine to make accurate clinical diagnoses.

3. Understand and apply foundational concepts from gross and microscopic anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, immunology, as well as microbiology and virology.

4. Exhibit strong organizational skills, accountability, and a commitment to ethical conduct in their work.

5. Exhibit essential employability skills by following safety procedures in the lab, and correctly interpreting results.

6. Operate laboratory equipment proficiently, ensuring quality assurance and compliance with safety standards in the lab environment.

7. Employ critical thinking and decision-making abilities to resolve issues as they arise.
