Dean of Students Organized Football Tournament for University Faculties

On 22th May 2024 an exciting football tournament was organised by the Dean of Students’ Sport Club at Tishk International University – Sulaimani (TIUS), which brought together teams from all faculties and staff. The tournament concluded with an exhilarating final match between 3rd and 4th grade of the Department of Architectural Engineering at TIUS and a diverse team of students from several departments, known as Malesy.

The tournament featured numerous competitive teams. In the end, the Architectural Engineering Department 3rd & 4th Grade team emerged victorious, securing the championship. Outstanding performances by individual players were also acknowledged. Sahand, an Architecture Engineering 4th grade student, was recognised as the tournament’s top performer due to his exceptional sportsmanship and skill. Throughout the tournament, Arin, a fourth-grade student in the Architecture Engineering programme, was recognised as the top goal scorer. His exceptional goal-scoring abilities were clearly evident. In addition, Ara, a third-grade student in the Architecture Engineering programme, was recognised as the top custodian for his exceptional skills in defending the goalposts. The tournament was an enjoyable event, fostering a culture of healthy competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork among the university’s faculty and staff.
