Art Club Students Complete Comprehensive Ceramic Course
The Dean of Students at Tishk International University – Sulaimani (TIUS) facilitated a comprehensive four-month ceramic course for Art Club students, instructed by Ms. Soza Mohammed, a seasoned ceramic artist. The course began on December 13th, 2023, with an introductory lecture where students familiarized themselves with the tools and techniques associated with ceramic sculpture. During this session, they also initiated their first group project—a wall composition—which would be developed in subsequent classes.
Throughout the course, Ms. Soza guided the students through the fundamental principles of ceramic art. The program introduced new tools and techniques, enabling students to achieve superior sculpting results. Over the four months, the 15 participating students made significant strides in their hand-art abilities, enhancing their skills and creativity. The ceramic creations produced by the students were showcased at the course’s conclusion, highlighting their remarkable progress. This initiative underscores the university’s commitment to providing a diverse range of hands-on learning opportunities, fostering practical skill development and artistic growth among its students.
