Hiking Trip to Mawat0
The Dean of Students at Tishk International University-Sulaimani (TIUS) organized a Hiking Trip to Mawat in the Sharbazher Region on November 4th, 2022.The purpose of the trip was to experience the spirit of adventure, bring the students from all the departments together, encourage interpersonal interaction, and teach them how to strengthen a team. Instilling in them a spirit of love, sacrifice, and service to all of creation is another goal. The staff provided lunch for the participants, and with the assistance of the students, a peaceful lunch next to Sarsoll Falls was prepared. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Ahmet Demir and Miss Tawar Sardar, along with the assistance of the Dean of Students, oversaw the tour. A knowledgeable hike guide was present to advise the hikers. There were 47 participants, including both faculty members and students. Students and staff from TIUS all together cleaned up the trash left behind by previous visitors as a homage to the place and nature.
