On May 16, 2022, the Tishk International University Department of Architectural Engineering organized a scientific trip for the 3rd-grade students to some buildings in Sulaimani that are still under construction and have not been completed yet, in order to provide them with a chance to see the construction process on-site, after completing the design process. Furthermore, the administration of the projects has provided our students with a site engineer who has worked on the projects to explain the techniques and methods they have used. For example, one of the buildings had a waffle slab, a type of slab used to construct long-span spaces, an essential structure for the students to see and get familiar with, and other construction methods and techniques available.
