Civil Engineering Department of Tishk International University, Sulaimani, organized an international workshop on May 25th, 2022 entitled “Technologies and Materials that Reshape the Construction Sector” in partnership with Zeelamo Academy.
The purpose of the workshop was to discuss the latest technologies used in the construction sector and additive materials that reshape the sector.
Speakers in the workshop addressed the advancements in the construction sector and the latest technology and materials globally used in the sector and reshaped the industry.
After welcoming the guests and participants, the head of Civil Engineering Department delivered a speech after which the sessions started.
The workshop consisted of two sessions.
In the first session Dr.Samad Sepasgozar from UNSW – Sydney – Australia & Dr.Biranchi Panda from IIT-India presented two interesting topics under the titles “Digital Twin and the Future of Information Modeling in the Built Environment and construction sector & Material Design, Additive Manufacturing, and Performance of Cement-Based Materials” respectively. The presentations and talks were concluded by answering the related questions from the participants.
After a short coffee break the second session has started.
In the second session Mr.Hawraz Mohammed from Ararat Company – Kurdistan have presented a topic under the title” Effect and Performance of Crystalline Admixture on Concrete Durability” and as the last presentation of the second session Dr. Pshtiwan Shakor from TIUS, SPU, UTS – Kurdistan have presented an interesting topic under the title “3D Printing concrete and the 4th industrial revolution for construction application”.
The second session was concluded with a discussion between the participants and presenters.
At the end of the workshop, certificate of appreciation and presentation were distributed among the presenters.
