On April 4th 2022, Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a scientific trip to Phoenix Refinery in Arbat which is an international factory for bitumen production. The aim of the trip was to provide the information about the process of producing bitumen and tests that is done to control the quality of the bitumen.
The trip was supervised by Mr. Ilham Ibrahim and the trip included the explanation of the process of bitumen production and tests like (Flash and Fire Point, Viscosity, Ductility, Softening Point, Penetration, RTHOT and TFOT) of bitumen were conducted.
The trip was attended by the fourth grade students from Civil Engineering Department at TIUS.
