The second-year students of the ELT department at Tishk International University, Slemani visited Chavy Land amusement park on February 19, 2022, Saturday. Two teams, consisting of 4 members, participated in a competitive game of paintball which provides each team the chance to eliminate opponents from play by hitting them with paintballs in the shape of ammunition. They first were taken to a place where team members were supposed to put on jumpsuits, vests, gloves, and protective masks. They were given instructions regarding the rules of the paintball game and broke into two teams before starting the game. While the first team consisted of Mohammed, Sana, Bafrin, and Dr. Toker, the opposing team included members such as Brwa, Hansk, Sanaria, and Awin. After getting the green light, both the teams entered the arena and took cover in opposing sides of the field. Teams were involved in a fierce competition to defeat the other team and started firing bullets with the aim of eliminating their opponents. Mohammed’s team had the advantage as Sanaria, Hansk and Awin exhausted all their bullets and were soon out of the game, leaving Brwa all alone to fight with 3 members of the opposing team. Mohammed’s team surrounded Brwa and fiercely fired shots at Brwa. Brwa fought back bravely, however, he had to accept defeat when he ran out of ammunition. With Brwa’s exit from the game, Mohammad’s team was declared as the winners. Although there was one winner, all members from both teams tremendously enjoyed the activity as it involved active movement, strategic moves, hiding, and precise shooting ability. In the end, all students had a great time and agreed that it was a day well-spent.
