On February 13, 2022, Tishk International University/Sulaimani, Dean of Students, Charity Club has organized an event to visit the Orphanage and Elderly house in Sulaimani, Bakrajo.
The main objective of the activity was to help the orphan kids and our elders in the community, which is, as humans, is our unwritten responsibility. Also, those kids are a part of the future of our country, and the elders are people who have served our country for long years in many ways. So, we aimed to introduce our students to these people, remind them and provide them with an environment where they can help them and try to fulfill some of their needs even though we cannot do all of it, unfortunately.
The activity was organized as; first, students made an activity of selling food, dessert, salad…etc. at the university and used the budget for financial support of this activity. Then, they contacted the administration of Orphanage and Elderly house in order to get the list of what they needed. After that, students went shopping to buy and provide what they needed such as clothes, milk, toy, diaper, oven, carpets, perfume, iron, hairdryer, shaving machine…etc. Finally, students visited them to give this needy people the goods by themselves, and spend some time with them.
