The Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a workshop entitled “Research and Thesis Writing Skills Development”, held on November 3rd, 2021. The aim of this workshop was to explain the techniques of thesis writing and teach research methodology. The purpose of the workshop was to help students in developing their general outline, interpreting their research results, presenting their conclusions, constructing an effective introduction and literature review, improving their language, citations, style, and preparing their abstract.
The workshop consisted of two sessions:
The first session focused on drafting the general outline, introduction, and literature review thesis sections, and matching the language to its structure.
The second session focused on explaining methodology, discussing, and arranging the findings of the research, as well as preparing the conclusion and future recommendations of the paper.
